Big data, consumer goods and re-distributed event

The RECODE Network in collaboration with the Great Manchester Chamber of Commerce held the big data, consumer goods and re-distributed event to explore the opportunities and challenges for SMEs drawing on the experience of local businesses and the expertise of the RECODE project partners.


The event took place on the 19th of June 2015 in the offices of the Great Manchester Chamber of Commerce and it included talks from Christian Spence (GMCC) discussing the SME challenges and the role of the Chamber of Commerce, Rob Dixon (Joinery Workshop) discussing how his SME explores the role of Big Data in the joinery sector and Fiona Charnley (University of Cranfield) and Babis Theodoulidis (Manchester Business School) discussing the RECODE network and the plans to create a roadmap for SMEs, practitioners and academics.


The event was attended by thirty participants including local SMEs, academics and RECODE network partners.
